Role Compass is operated by Unlearn Labs, an advisory practice based in Hong Kong (contact: jeron@unlearnlabs.xyz). This policy explains what we collect when you use the free Role Compass diagnostic, why, and how long we keep it.

What we collect

Your six diagnostic answers: your role, primary function, current AI exposure, two time-eaters, one recurring task, and team size.
Your email address, only if you choose to have a copy of your Compass sent to you.
Your advisory-updates preference, only if you explicitly opt in on the results screen.
Standard server and hosting logs (e.g. IP address, timestamp) for security and abuse prevention.

How we use it

To generate your personalized Role Compass.
To email you a copy, if you provide an email address.
To notify you when advisory slots open, only if you explicitly opt in.
To monitor and protect the service.

Third-party processors

We use a small number of processors to run the service. We share only what each needs to perform its function:

Anthropic, PBC — your six answers are sent to Anthropic’s Claude model (Claude Sonnet) to generate the Compass.
Resend — if you request a copy, your email address and Compass are processed by Resend to deliver it (and an internal notification to Unlearn Labs).
Vercel — hosting and delivery of the application.

Anonymous diagnostic storage

Anonymous Compass submissions (your answers and the generated result) are stored to improve the diagnostic. They are not linked to your identity. We do not store your name, email, or IP address in that record unless you separately choose to email yourself a copy.

Retention

Anonymous submission records (answers and generated result): retained for up to 12 months to improve the diagnostic.
Email address and advisory-updates preference: retained until you ask us to remove it or unsubscribe.

We do not sell or share your data

We do not sell your data and do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. Processors above act only on our instructions.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, or withdraw consent at any time, by emailing jeron@unlearnlabs.xyz. This service is operated from Hong Kong and is handled in line with the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance. If you are in the EEA or the UK, you also have rights under the GDPR / UK GDPR (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and portability); our legal basis is your consent and our legitimate interest in operating the diagnostic, and you may withdraw consent at any time.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
